Are you looking for the perfect rural setting with stunning views for a small intimate wedding reception with up to 20 guests then Boreat Manor could be the perfect choice.  You might be getting married in the local registry office or local Village Churches and be looking for a quiet, beautiful location for a small gathering after the services.   You can hire just the medieval dining room with its stone walls and low beamed ceiling with use of the down stairs rooms and kitchen or the whole house which sleeps 10 comfortably in double rooms or more if children can share with their parents.   You can make it your own for the day or weekend.   The large patios with stunning views of the Devonshire Dales are perfect for entertaining guests and the lovely open garden with large areas of lawn could be used for an outdoor wedding reception weather permitting.   Alternatively you might prefer the area by the ponds under the shade of the trees

Christenings

If you are looking for an affordable alternative to the village hall or local pub to hold your small christening reception then why not book Boreat Manor for a buffet style Christening we could accommodate 30 guests for a sit down meal a maximum of 20 guests .  There is ample parking in the grounds of Boreat Manor.

A baby naming ceremony is an informal occasion, gather friends and family together to celebrate the birth and naming of your child in this lovely old house.

Birthdays, Anniversaries and Special Occasions

Planning a small family celebration for a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion.   Booked Boreat Manor for the night, weekend or whole week.  Hire our private chef for that special meal.  If you do not want to stay the night but just want a private chef experience with your friends and family we are happy to just let the dining room. reception rooms and farmhouse kitchen for the evening.
